Play as much or as little as you want in this modular multiday cube drafting festival.
Events
The W.O.L.F. will take place at venues across Somerville. Pick and choose which events you want to play at, then join us at the main event on Sunday to determine a champion.
Day 1 -
Madness at the Movies
We'll draft at the historic Capitol Theater in Arlington, MA. An audio/visual experience to complement the Magic.
Day 3 -
Fetch for Lush Portico
A dedicated draft at Portico Brewing in the Boynton Yards right next to Union Square. First round is on me.
Day 2 -
Ur-Dragon Pizza Party
Fire up a draft and the pizza ovens as we play at Dragon Pizza's Dragon's Lair. We will have a pizza buffet and a dedicated bartender.
Day 4 -
Aspiring Aeronauts
Fly on over to a morning draft at Somerville's prestigious Aeronaut Brewing. Ticket includes a drink.
Day 5 -
The Main Event at
The Crystal Ballroom
The main event of the tournament. A draft followed by a top-cut championship draft.

What is Cube?
Cube is a custom draft format for playing Magic the Gathering. Cube is more like a board game than traditional Magic. Here is a great primer from Lucky Paper Radio. "Cube" can be anything: a pool of the strongest Magic cards ever printed, a pile of unsleeved cards with Sharpie on them, and everything in between and beyond.
What is "Wolfpack"?
The "Wolfpack" is a group of Magic players that got started in 2010. In the past we've held invitational tournaments featuring cube and other unique formats. We're using our experience of crafting fun tournaments to create a Magic festival for everyone. The hallmarks of a Wolfpack tournament include: creative cubes, fun and spirited competition, and unique prizing.
When and where is this event?
The event will take place over 5 days (August 12th - August 16th, 2026) across Somerville, Massachusetts (and Arlington). Sunday August 16th is the mandatory main event at the Crystal Ballroom. You can opt into as many events as you want. Addresses and location details will be on the events page, the ticket page, and on Discord.
What do I need to bring to the event?
Many players like to bring mats, dice, and life counters to keep track of their games, but you do not need to bring your own cards. All the cards will be provided via a curated cube list.
How do I register?
How is the event structured?
The main event will be two drafts, including a championship draft. All other days will feature one draft. Your cube flight will be chosen via a Hedron Network link.
What are the prizes?
Winning 3 matches in your draft pod will earn you a unique commemorative pin. There will be a trophy for the overall champion. There will be raffles and door prizes for attendees.
